Founded by James Ward, Catalyst brings together more than 20 years of experience across business software, accounting, ERP implementation, solution design and process improvement. This experience ranges from hands-on implementations for growing Australian businesses through to enterprise solution architecture and advisory work across the Asia-Pacific region.

Meet the owner, James
James Ward is a business systems consultant with experience spanning Salesforce, NetSuite, MYOB EXO, Odoo and ServiceM8.
His background includes business analysis, accounting, ERP implementation, solution architecture, data migration, integration, training and project delivery. He has worked with businesses across manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional services, healthcare and other operationally complex industries.
James has led system discovery, requirements gathering, process mapping and solution design for organisations ranging from growing owner-operated businesses to major Australian and Asia-Pacific enterprises. He also brings direct implementation experience, having managed systems from initial scope through configuration, testing, training, go-live and ongoing support.

Catalyst is not a large consulting firm where the experienced person attends the first meeting and the work is passed to a junior team.
You work directly with James throughout the engagement. He can meet your team, visit your office or warehouse, observe how work is actually performed and understand the products, systems and operational constraints involved.
That direct involvement creates clearer requirements, faster decisions and genuine accountability for the quality of the result.
Business Understanding and Technical Depth

James combines formal qualifications in Business Information Systems and Accounting with extensive practical experience delivering and designing business software solutions. This allows Catalyst to communicate effectively with business owners, finance teams, operational staff, software vendors and technical developers.
